Please join us on Thursday, October 28, 11 am to 12:30 pm to learn about strengthen HIV services and housing access for people experiencing homelessness in the East Bay. We will share real-world cases, best practices and strategies with each other.
Purpose and goals: This East Bay linkage and prevention network meeting will focus on how we can improve linkages and housing access for people experiencing homelessness. This is a priority area for our 5-year East Bay Ending the HIV Epidemic strategic plan.
During this workshop, we will:
- Get to know other people working on linkages and housing for people living with HIV in the East Bay.
- Share cases and challenges facing people experiencing homelessness with HIV services and housing access.
- Determine best practices and strategies for strengthening linkages to HIV and housing services for people who are experiencing homelessness or are unstably housed.
Workshop agenda:
11 am: Introductions and healing practice
11:10 am: Getting to know each other in HIV and housing networks
11:25 am: Background on the housing crisis, cases/experiences of 3 people living with HIV who engaged in care while they were experiencing homelessness and how they got housed.
This segment will be presented by Tori Pena and Dr. Meggie Woods at the LifeLong Trust Clinic and Judy Eliachar and Angela Moore, co-facilitators of the EBGTZ housing work group and East Bay HIV housing advocates.
