It was a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon in June at the Lake Merritt Pergola. Our partners HEPPAC, Oakland LGBTQ Center and Lifelong hosted a Community Health & Wellness event in honor of National HIV Testing Day and invited East Bay Getting to Zero’s youth engagement working group to host a table. In collaboration with Children’s Hospital Oakland, La Clinica de la Raza’s TRUCHA program, Dream Youth Clinic and RYSE Youth Center.
Our team distributed over a hundred East Bae Summer tote bags, lots of safer sex supplies, hygiene kits, PPE, various swag items, information and resources to the public.
