The next Trans Health Community of Practice will be held virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, July 26th from 5-6:30pm – featuring Emiliano L. Lemus, MD who will be speaking on informed consent for HRT initiation. The learning objectives for this session are:
- Describe the utility of informed consent conversations vs other models of consent for initiating gender-affirming hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
- Develop an approach for conversations about gender-affirming HRT initiation which center patient goals and are trans-affirming.
- Identify 3-5 core topics that are important to review during HRT informed consent conversations.
