The goal of this session was to continue the conversation from our Housing 101 training held on October 13th 2022. We want to dive deeper with a smaller group of folks who work with people living with HIV and experiencing housing challenges. Medical case managers and those who want to learn more about how to navigate the housing system on behalf of their patients are encouraged to register. The hope is this develops into a community of practice where we meet regularly (every 1-2 months) to continue case discussion. We may use the whole session to discuss and solve your cases as a group. We will also be prepared with our own cases to use as examples too if we don’t get enough of a response. Attendees were encouraged to send their own cases ahead of time for discussion.
Here is a rough agenda of the morning:
10-10:15 am – Check in, sign-in, grab food, find your seat’
10:15 am – 10:35 am – Introductions and an ice breaker question
10:35 am – 10:40 am – 5 mins grounding exercise (Ramon)
10:40 am – 11:40 am: Two case study discussions (prepared by Judy & Cassandra)
11:40 am – 12 noon: Go over group’s cases; and other specific questions
