On February 12, 2026, HIV service providers from around Alameda and Contra Costa counties gathered in San Leandro at the February 2026 Regional Case Managers meeting to learn, share and discuss resources on the topics of food insecurity and mental health crises.

These meetings are a place for those working directly with clients to come together, network, get access to important updates and problem-solve the challenges they face in their work.

Objectives for the February 2026 RCM meeting:

  • Identify Project Open Hand’s regional efforts to improve health outcomes. Become familiar with eligibility requirements and referral processes for POH’s programs, including medically tailored meals and groceries.
  • Describe strategies to help ensure individuals in crisis connect with supportive, caring professionals and promote proactive help-seeking behaviors within the community. Become familiar with CSS crisis services, including both the call and text lines.
