On December 4, 2025, HIV care service providers and PrEP navigators from around Alameda and Contra Costa counties gathered in the Laurel Room at the California Endowmnet in Oakland, CA for East Bay Getting to Zero’s final Regional Case Managers/ PrEP Navigators meeting of the year.
These meetings are a place for those working directly with clients to come together, network, get access to important updates and problem-solve the challenges they face in their work.
- Objectives for the December meeting:
- Identify key historical milestones in the HIV epidemic including significant policy actions and the disproportionate impact of AIDS cases on Black and Latinx communities.
- Contrast the epidemiology of HIV in the Oakland TGA versus other areas in the region.
- Discuss the path forward, envision a 5-year plan to get to zero HIV transmissions in the East Bay
