The role of the East Bay Getting to Zero Steering Committee is to provide guidance and subject matter expertise for all operational components of the initiative. The EBGTZ Community Steering Committee brings together the East Bay’s most passionate and motivated community members, which includes leadership representation from people living with HIV, Alameda County and Contra Costa County public health departments, Alameda Health Consortium, community-based organizations, schools, clinics, hospitals, churches, federally-qualified health centers, pharmacies, and research organizations.
EBGTZ steering committee members form the backbone of EBGTZ decision-making processes, serve on panels for community events and meetings, and provide close consultation and direction on program content, design and messaging. The steering committee membership is determined by community recommendations, a commitment to EBGTZ goals and attending bimonthly meetings.
