This Pacific AETC HIV Clinical Essentials PDF was updated in May 2023 and approved by HRSA in summer 2023.
This 2-page HIV Essentials reference includes basic clinical guidance for 1) HIV testing, 2) initiation of rapid ART (antiretroviral therapy) for people newly diagnosed with HIV or re-engaging in care, 3) PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) and 4) PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis).
This Essentials reference was developed by a collaborative team of Bay Area clinicians who wanted a super-brief single reference sheet that they could keep handy digitally or printed out double-sided onto a single sheet.
