NACCHO is pleased to share the newly developed “Point-of-Care Testing For Sexually Transmitted Infections Toolkit.”

This toolkit was developed in partnership with National Network of Public Health Institutes and CDC. It is designed as a guide to decision-making on the use of point-of-care tests (POCTs) for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), by local health departments, clinic managers, and other care providers.

While POCTs are beneficial in many circumstances, not every setting, staffing, or patient population is ideal for POCT use and this toolkit can support that determination.  monitoring, and more!
