On October 10, 2024, HIV care service providers from around Alameda and Contra Costa counties gathered at City of Refuge’s Freedom Room in Oakland, CA for East Bay Getting to Zero’s October Regional Case Managers meeting. These meetings are a place for those working directly with clients to come together, network, get access to important updates and problem-solve the challenges they face in their work. The objectives of this meeting were to:
- Objectives for the August meeting:
- Learn how to refer Ryan White clients for free mental health services (individual, couple & group therapy)
- Identify needs of the unhoused community while transitioning from temporary/transitional to permanent housing
- Define the OARS skill of motivational interviewing and be able to practice the skills in a group setting.of case management
