Self-Referral HIV Antibody Testing: Drop-in to any of our labs and request an HIV antibody test (blood test). Lab fee cost share may apply. Your doctor’s office will contact you with the result. PrEP (preventive medications to protect against HIV infection): Ask your doctor for a referral or call the HIV Health Educator at 510-752-6848 for more information or to get started on PrEP. Costs related to these services are based on your health plan coverage. PEP (HIV post exposure treatment to prevent HIV infection): Treatment with medication after a possible exposure to HIV to reduce the risk of becoming infected. Treatment must be started within 72 hours, but the sooner the better.
