Smart Mature Xtra Youthful Gala
The first annual S.M.X.Y GALA for high school students (ages 14-18) is almost here! Dress up as your favorite SMXY ICON whether it’s Beyonce, Madonna, Sexyy Red, Lil Nas X, Jimi Hendrix, etc. and come turn up! This is a themed youth dance party where parent participation is encouraged. Youth will be able to have fun in a safe space and parents will be PAID to help as chaperones, security, and servers.The goal for this community engagement event is to help end the stigma surrounding sexual health and help also connect community members with organizations that are best equipped to educate them. As a sexual health provider, I also aim to both uplift the community specifically the youth, and help bridge the gap in parents-to-youth involvement in local events such as these. Both youth and parent/caretaker participants will be able to take resources regarding organizations offering education or/and testing services.
