Dream Youth Clinic and Roots Community Health Center will be having a Planting Day program January 28, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 pm @ Dream Catcher 583 5th St, Oakland, Ca 94607! This will be a great opportunity to get involved with beautifying our community as well as gaining gardening skills.
The Garden of Dreams is a youth-envisioned, youth-created community garden that is located next door to the Dreamcatcher-Dream Youth Clinic site. The Garden’s purpose is for the youth to grow and maintain their own food. The Youth will also learn about urban gardening, nutrition, and harvesting techniques. By creating fresh produce in the Garden of Dreams, cooking workshops will also be offered, for the youth to learn basic cooking skills using a farm-to-table style. The Garden of Dreams is a healing outdoor youth space, a visible anchor of stability, where young people can connect with Dream Clinic staff beyond the four walls of the traditional clinic setting.
